Princess aka Tessa’s Story
From rags to riches
Princess is a true rags to riches story! Severely neglected as a young pup, she developed demodectic mange, a very uncomfortable skin condition. Covered with scabs, she was surrendered to Downey animal shelter, where she had to be shaved to treat her skin. Her skin is completely healed and her fur started growing in beautifully when she lived with her foster family! Princess was adopted by her amazing forever family where she gets to go on adventures and hikes by the beach! She looks like a totally different dog from the scared puppy that was left to die in the shelter! She is now named Tessa and her mom has only wonderful things to say about her: “We have bonded deeply and have come to that point that we are completely in tune with each other and addicted to each other. I cannot imagine life without her anymore.”
